Before the summer comes to an end, we wanted to take a moment to shine a spotlight on the incredible work of our July & August Featured Artist, ✨Shannyn Dowsett of !✨

Today we're highlighting Shannyn's stunning ceramic vases. Hold onto the warmth of the summer sun with these joyful yellow vases. Shannyn’s pieces bring a bit of whimsy to the everyday while still being functional. 💛

Our Summer Artist Application Deadline is quickly approaching!🌻✨

AAC Works is currently accepting applications from artists looking to join our creative community, and tomorrow, Friday August 14, is the last day to get them in!

For this intake, we are especially seeking:
✨ Blown glass
✨ Textile art
✨ Functional woodwork

📌 Please note:
At this time, we are not accepting 2D work, including paintings, prints, photography, or other wall-mounted pieces. Any 2D submissions received during this intake will not be considered.

Applying is simple:
1️⃣ Visit aacworks.ca/artist-application to see if we’re a good fit
2️⃣ Complete the online application
3️⃣ Email photos of your work to [email protected]

New Artist Spotlight: Hateya Clark

We’re so excited to welcome Hateya Clark to AAC Works!

Hateya is a Lethbridge-based Indigenous artist working in the textile mediums of knitting, crocheting and beading.

Hateya has developed her fiber-working skills over the past eleven years, and after learning how to bead a little over a year ago, she has begun her beading journey–seeing no end in sight! She intuitively finds inspiration for her colour palettes in the world around her, and beads both as a way to express her Indigenous identity, and as a means of ancestral connection.

We’ve currently got a vibrant collection of Hateya’s uniquely beaded earrings, bracelets, and pins. Be sure to stop in and see them for yourself!
