The Galt Museum & Archives is rolling out the red carpet for the 3rd Annual Lethbridge International Film Festival, April 11–13, 2025.

Over three days, four screening areas will showcase groundbreaking premieres, thought-provoking indie gems, and cinematic artistry from around the world.

Expect director Q&As, live scores over classic silent films, VR experiences, and—new this year—a dazzling gala to kick things off!

With 54 films, including 37 premieres and 13 local productions, LIFF promises to inspire, challenge, and celebrate the magic of film.

Pleased to announce that “Lifers: A century of addiction to amateur theatre in Lethbridge Alberta” will be featured as part of the Lethbridge international film Festival in April.
The festival’ s opening gala on Friday, April 11 will feature a screening of the 1927 masterpiece “Metropolis” accompanied by live music.

“Lifers” will show the next afternoon at the Galt as part of the documentary series.

Should be a fun weekend, and admission is by donation.

Well, it's been a whole year, but the Playgoer's 'doc' will be up on Telus and Youtube beginning in mid-January. Hope everyone who's in it can tune in! And apologies in advance if some brilliant bit of yours didn't make it in - one must always sacrifices some favourites in service of the story!

For those interested in the fascinating history of PLAYGOERS, please check out the "Bonus Material" - it's a half-hour of interviews with George Mann and the Galt Museum and everyone will find some fantastic new tidbit of info... like who knew Playgoer's performed in Lethbridge's thousand seat theatre in the 1920's???!!!!

Pleased to announce that Lifers: A Century Of Addiction To Amateur Theatre in Lethbridge, AB has been accepted for broadcast by Telus Storyhive. It should be up on Optic TV later this year, and then I will announce when it becomes available on You Tube. Thank you to all the talented people who participated in the project, and specially the Playgoers Of Lethbridge, who celebrated their 100th year in Lethbridge in 2023 with a fantastic year of programming!
