Not every part of running a laser business is as picture perfect as the finished product.
Two days before filming this, my face was bright red, incredibly itchy, and reminded me that even after years of experience, there’s always something new to learn.
Last year, I found out the hard way what contact dermatitis was after a severe reaction landed me in the hospital. Since then, I’ve invested in better ventilation, air filtration, and stricter material protocols in my studio. But this recent experience was a reminder that not every material is created equal, and even with safety measures in place, understanding what you’re working with is essential.
I wanted to share this because social media often shows the perfect outcomes but not always the reality behind creating them.
Running a laser isn’t just about pressing “Start.” It’s about understanding materials, prioritizing safety, continuously learning, and adapting when things don’t go as planned.
