Let's introduce another performer for SHIMMER & SHAKE BURLESQUE SHOW this Saturday at !

Vancouver’s “Seductively Strange Sensation” is Layna Emerald. Since 2017, Layna has been performing their signature quirky acts on stages in the Vancouver area and beyond. Layna’s performance style ranges from comedic to classic, influenced by their background of contemporary dance and love for character work. Awarded “Best Large Group” with Pin-up Posse at BHOF 2023. With the rest of their time they also enjoy acting, making music, pole dancing and yoga.

Let's introduce one of the performers for Valentine Vo**ur Burlesque on Monday April 20th!

After retiring, Susie made her Burlesque debut, at the age of 60. Much to her surprise she ignited a new, but old childhood passion, which has opened the doors to other creative interests and challenges. In 2024 she received a crown for Most Innovative Act in her performance with the Golden Legends Championship Challenge. In the last eight years she has performed throughout Canada and the US and most recently in Mexico.

Sweet Cheeks is on a main mission to smash ageism and the misconceptions society has about seniors and their capacity for continued growth, both physically and mentally and most certainly, sensually. She's here to say to all you beautiful seniors, “Do not discard or push your sexy underbits to the back of your closet. There has never been a better stage in life to get naughty, than now.”

It's time to introduce one of our performers for SHIMMER & SHAKE BURLESQUE SHOW this Saturday at the

Melody Mangler is an award winning, internationally renowned burlesque performer who has toured Europe, the United States and did a three week tour of Australia with burlesque superstar, Catherine D’Lish.

Always someone looking to advance her art form, she co-founded the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival at a time when there were only three burlesque festivals in existence. This move put Vancouver on the map as a burlesque destination.

Melody created Screaming Chicken Theatrical Society, a not for profit burlesque centered theater company, which ran for 16 years. This group consistently pushed the artistic boundaries of burlesque and provided a rehearsal space and stage for hundreds of performers over the years.

She has taught in cities all over the world and has gotten over 300 women onto the burlesque stage for their first time through her signature two month course Becoming Burlesque.

She now runs the consistently sold out Glam Slam East Van weirdo wrestling show, variety spectaculars , Dreadful Delights and Garden of Delights as well as performance art based cabaret Beyond Bizarre. Starting her burlesque career in 2003, she is known as Vancouver's tattooed fireball, and has been a constant competitor at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas winning Best Debut, Best Large Group and Most Comedic. From clowning, to gorelesque to chair acrobatics, you never know what strange world Melody will create for you on the stage.
