Here is a bit of an update for those who are interested..

Its been a little over a week and our Mr. Julian had his bone marrow tested, a Picc line put in and we are on day 5 of Chemo which he does for 10 days every 12 hours… After the 10 days we hang out here after while he regains his good stuff. Unfortunately we are not able to leave the hospital as the chemo destroys not only the bad stuff but also the good stuff. Things are progressing well according to our team of doctors, specialists and nurses.
I just want to say I appreciate all the messages comments and donations to help us out, you all are truly wonderful. I will be off my regular work and painting for some time so it all helps. My email is [email protected] if you wish to lend us a hand.

Hello my Art Family. I just wanted to give you a bit of an update.. the road to recovery started yesterday with Julian’s first chemo treatment. One of many, and we will be in hospital for at least a month. They work fast here and especially with kids they don’t mess around. In less than a week my family’s world has turned upside down and I would just like to thank each and every one of you for your support, your messages of encouragement and your kind donations to help us get through this. Hello friends,
Sylvia’s boss Kerry put this out in the local paper today. It’s been quite the whirlwind. We are usually at the other end of fundraising as most of our adult life has been volunteering for some kinda charity, school function, fire dept event, or whatever our community needed. Truth is, It’s hard to accept the fact we are now at the other end of things, and many have asked how to help, of if we needed something. Hello friends,
I wish I’d didn’t have to make a post like this but here it is. My little guy got sick over the weekend and the diagnosis isn’t exactly what a parent wants to hear. After a bunch of testing and bloodwork he was diagnosed with leukaemia. So it’s been quite the whirlwind. I hope I messaged everyone who booked in June but just in case I didn’t, I’ve canceled all the remaining June sessions and will not be doing any in July so I can focus on him and my family. Thanks to everyone who messaged, called, or texted. I am proud to serve the town of Lamont and the county. We,as a family,feel the love. Take care, Stay safe and give your kids an extra hug tonight.

Well… I had a group cancellation tonight so that meant the 1 extra that I had booked tonight got to pick whatever she wanted to paint.. and challenge me at the same time.. so here you go.. the cabin in the woods painting and look how wonderful she did! Thanks Rhonda Mennie Ferguson 🙂
