A lot of new things happening this year! Steve Doreen Guitars will be moving to beautiful Lake Cowichan BC. A larger shop means large opportunities. I will be holding one on one guitar and ukulele building workshops. Come to my shop and build your very own life long partner.
Secondly I will now be offering stringed instrument repairs and set ups. Grab that old guitar out of the closet and bring it in.

Again, just off of the bench. This is a long neck concert ukulele.(tenor neck, concert body) Western hemlock top paired with really local Dutch elm. The tree was fell just around the corner from my shop!
Hemlock is a great tone wood. Much like Douglas fir it has great clarity and volume, it has a nice bright tone.

It's been crazy busy in the shop these days!
Freash off of the bench, a vibrant tenor ukulele.
Bear claw Sitka spruce top paired with Oregon myrtle wood.
Purple Heart binding and rosette. Get yours wile supply's last!! I have only so much myrtle wood in stock.

Resonator tenor ukulele with my elite series body.
Figured western maple back, sides and top. Ebony head plate, fingerboard and tie block.
Hand spun aluminum biscuit cone.
Fun little uke 😃

plenty going on in my shop lately.
Just finished this custom ordered mandolin.
Birds eye maple back, sides and neck. Cedar top with granadillio bindings, arm rest bevel and rosette. Ebony head plate, fingerboard, bridge and custom tail piece cover with abalone leaf inlays.
Rubner tuning machines.

Slope shoulder dreadnought guitar
completely blacked out. Flamed maple back and sides with a Lutz spruce top. Ebony bindings and arm rest bevel. Mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard and bridge. Sperzel tuning machines. Very nicely balanced dreadnought guitar.
