✨ Programme OFF — ARCHIPEL de Félix Dufour-Laperrière ✨

Le vendredi 10 juillet, le Festival du film de Knowlton vous donne rendez-vous à l’Atelier Leporello pour une soirée de cinéma unique en compagnie du cinéaste Félix Dufour-Laperrière, qui viendra présenter son magnifique film Archipel.

La plateforme Tënk Canada - Le cinéma documentaire en ligne décrit l'oeuvre comme un « film hybride » qui métisse images documentaires et images animées, avec un dialogue poétique autour d’un peuple et de son territoire.

Long métrage d’animation documentaire au dessin libre et à la langue poétique, Archipel nous entraîne sur des îles réelles et inventées, au cœur d’un territoire à la fois physique, imaginaire, politique et rêvé.

🕯️ Septième escale : une soirée autour du cinéma de Pepita Ferrari

Pour cette septième escale estivale, le FFKFF vous convie au Fulford Community Hall pour une soirée spéciale autour du cinéma de la réalisatrice Pepita Ferrari, imaginée par des proches, ami·e·s et collaborateurs qui ont souhaité revoir et partager son œuvre.

Le Festival y présentera The Unsexing of Emma Edmonds, un film sensible et singulier qui explore le destin fascinant d’Emma Edmonds — une femme ayant vécu déguisée en homme durant la guerre de Sécession. À travers ce récit, Pepita Ferrari aborde avec finesse les questions d’identité, de liberté et de transformation de soi.

✨ La projection sera précédée d’une introduction et suivie d’une discussion avec Louis Piché, avant de se poursuivre autour d’une dégustation vin & fromage dans l’atmosphère chaleureuse du Centre communautaire Fulford.

L’événement est présenté en collaboration avec La Belle Alliance, vignoble et le Fulford Community Hall.

🕯️ Seventh Stop: An Evening Celebrating the Cinema of Pepita Ferrari

For this seventh summer stop, the FFKFF invites you to the Fulford Community Hall for a special evening dedicated to the films of director Pepita Ferrari, conceived by family members, friends, and collaborators who wished to revisit and share her work.

The Festival will present The Unsexing of Emma Edmonds, a sensitive and distinctive film exploring the fascinating life of Emma Edmonds — a woman who lived disguised as a man during the American Civil War. Through this story, Pepita Ferrari thoughtfully examines questions of identity, freedom, and personal transformation.

✨ The screening will be preceded by an introduction and followed by a discussion with Louis Piché, before continuing with a wine and cheese tasting in the warm atmosphere of the Fulford Community Hall.

The event is presented in collaboration with La Belle Alliance Vineyard and the Fulford Community Hall.

Le Festival du film de Knowlton poursuit son OFF estival au Domaine Jolivent avec une grande soirée de cinéma en plein air au bord de l’eau.

Présenté en présence de la réalisatrice 𝗠𝗲́𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗮𝘂 ainsi que des comédiennes 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼̂𝘁𝗲́ et 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻, 𝙇𝙚𝙨 𝙁𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 célèbre avec humour et énergie l’amitié, l’insoumission et la force du collectif féminin.

✨ Avant la projection, profitez d’un souper sur la terrasse du restaurant Le Mistral. Puis, à la tombée du jour, le lac s’illuminera doucement à la chandelle pour accompagner cette projection sous les étoiles.

The Knowlton Film Festival continues its summer OFF event at Domaine Jolivent with a great evening of outdoor cinema by the water.

Presented in the presence of director 𝗠𝗲́𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗮𝘂 and actresses 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼̂𝘁𝗲́ and 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻, 𝙇𝙚𝙨 𝙁𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 celebrates friendship, rebellion, and the power of the female collective with humor and energy.

✨ Before the screening, enjoy dinner on the terrace of Le Mistral restaurant. Then, at dusk, the lake will gently light up by candlelight to accompany this screening under the stars.

🎥 𝗗𝘂 𝟭𝟳 𝗮𝘂 𝟮𝟭 𝗮𝗼𝘂̂𝘁, 𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲́𝗺𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝗲 𝗲́𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 !

Les jeunes de 9 à 14 ans sont invités à créer leur propre court métrage de A à Z — scénario, tournage, jeu d’acteur, montage — sous la direction d’un réalisateur professionnel de la région. Cinq jours pour apprendre, créer et vivre le cinéma de l’intérieur en équipe. Le court métrage final sera projeté devant public à la fin du camp.

🎥 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟳 𝘁𝗼 𝟮𝟭, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!

Youth aged 9 to 14 are invited to create their own short film from A to Z — screenwriting, shooting, acting, editing — under the guidance of a professional local director. Five days to learn, create, and experience filmmaking from the inside as a team. The final short film will be screened in front of an audience at the end of the camp.

Last year, ten youths directed the short film Dangereuse, which premiered at the Theatre Lac-Brome.
