Drummers love to come down to The JR to get loud and they definitely keep us on our toes since they play hard!

Thankful for a great relationship with to source replacement Mapex equipment for our rehearsal rooms so that people can keep coming in to

Off to next to see if we can source some parts for repair, though I'm no drummer, so it's possible that some of it is bound for its final performance at the metal scrappers - time will tell!

What's the craziest drum kit story you've had? I've seen stories of people using drum sticks as stand-ins for forgotten floor tom legs. We'll always be working on our side to make sure no one ever has anything crazy to deal with in our rooms so let us know if you come across anything in any of our hourly rooms.

We list some of the reasons we have heard from people why they find it great to rent at The JR, though there are some things I forgot to mention - lots of free parking, vending machines on site for snacks and music gear (and, yes, we don't just have soap dispensers - they're also filled with soap 😉)

Behind every great piece of music equipment is a mountain of gear maintenance. 🎹 🛠️

Our beloved Roland RD-08 digital piano from the Premium Room is officially heading to the shop to fix a scratchy volume pot—because "unintentional jumps in volume" isn't the vibe we’re going for.

We also lost a bracket on the high tom on the drum kit in the standard room so it is enthroned on a snare stand while we wait for parts from .

And, to top off the tech drama, our trusty Mackie Onyx mixer from the Standard Room decided that muffled and low frequency was the only tone it wanted to produce so it has also headed off to the shop (shoutout to Anodyne Audio for taking on both of the electronics repairs). We’ve subbed in a Mackie ProFX16v2 to keep the room operational while the bench techs work their magic.

Thank goodness for redundancy gear so that we can keep our doors open and you can keep coming in to "turn it up".
