The sweet, sweet aroma of spring is here! 💙🍁 I’ve been honoured to team up with the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival to create a series of art pieces leading up to their anniversary. My artwork for 2026 will be available at the festival on April 11 and you can find it on shirts, pins, and more. Come check out my booth in the Arts and Crafts building (EDSS)! ☀️This recent commission for Sunnyside was especially meaningful to me. Years ago, while in college, I spent a summer painting murals throughout the building, so returning now to create a painting of the exterior felt sort of like a full-circle moment.

Sunnyside has touched countless lives in our region, and every time I’ve worked with the staff or met residents, I’m struck by the care, compassion, and genuine sense of community they create (and they know how to have fun, too!). Our goal was to convey this throughout the artwork.

A cornerstone of care in Waterloo Region for over a century, Sunnyside continues its legacy of dignity, warmth, and belonging, and I’m grateful to play a small part in telling that story. Our community is very fortunate to have this level of care available!
