Recently my daughter Lenore - who works with us as our event co-ordinator - and I got to step in front of the camera for a branding shoot which I admit was a little outside of my comfort zone.

However… if every day could involve boas, disco balls, and sparkly sunglasses, that would be amazing.

And here are things nobody tells you about running a photo booth company:

• You will own an unreasonable number of feather boas.
• Disco balls will somehow become normal household décor.
• You’ll spend a lot of time making sure everyone else looks amazing… while you stay behind the camera.
• Technology will more than occasionally test your patience.
• Guests will do things in front of the camera that absolutely make your night.
• And every event reminds you that you’re capturing moments and memories that people will cherish.

After all these years in the event world, that last one is still my favorite part.

Also…every once in a while it’s fun to step in front of the camera too!

The Ladies in Black. 🖤

On this International Women’s Day, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the amazing women who stand beside me in this business.

These are just a few of my “Ladies in Black” who help bring our photo and video experiences to life and who spent the day with me working two wedding shows today. They showed up like they always do: professional, powerful, and ready to make magic happen.

Behind every unforgettable experience we create… is this unforgettable team.
