The schedule of events dropped for the Kingsville Highland Games –did you see it? 👀🏋️

Gates open at 8am on Saturday June 27th and the rest of the day is loaded up with hefty competition, music, and vendors.

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
🐑 Sheep Herding Demos: 8:30am, 1:15pm, and 3:30pm
🩰 Highland Dance Competition: 9am-4pm
🤾 Haggis Hurl: 10:15am
💪 Tug Of War: 10am-1pm
🥁 Pipe Band & Drum Competition: 1:35pm

🪿 Clan Village, Jacobite Encampment, and Merchants will be open from 8am-6pm

For a little challenge, we went through the garden centre to look for 5 plants with heart shaped leaves… and immediately found 8 😅

We know there are more, so take a peek at the ones we dug up and let us know your fave (or what you think we missed!)

We’re excited to welcome back Strong Towns Kingsville for another slow ride tomorrow!

They joined us last month for some complimentary Peach Drink and Donuts, before heading back to the Carnegie Arts & Visitor Centre 🍩🍑

A small amount of our homegrown crop is ready to go, so these 6” pots of 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗷𝗼𝗼 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮 are available while supplies last.

Did you know specific varieties of banana plants could make it through the winter?
Basjoo Banana plants need a bit of insulation to help and we’ve heard lots of success stories from guests in the past. They make it feel like a tropical vacation, right in your backyard!

We’re proud to be the new host of the Kingsville Highland Games and while we still have some time to go, tickets are available now! You can order online or visit our restaurant to purchase them in-store.

Have you ever heard of the 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗲𝘀?
During WWI, the Salvation Army gathered volunteers to serve donuts and baked goods to soldiers on the front lines. Over-time, these brave women helped boost morale and became known as the Donut Lassies. What they did was kind, bold, and has an impact still remembered today.

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 ❤️🍩

Our team is proud to partner with The Salvation Army, as they spend the morning delivering fresh donuts to the Leamington Fire Station, Police Service, and EMS workers. Representatives from their organization arrived this morning to pick up some of this morning’s first batch and make their way around town.
