WE'RE STILL GLOWING from our festival last weekend! Thank you to everyone who made it truly magical - from the dedicated volunteers to the incredible artists to the audience who stayed and danced in the rain - it was an amazing afternoon of celebration, community, and connection.

🌻Meet the Artists of Compton Park Music Festival 2026 🌻Our final artist is Kchi Tolba with Mance Granberg & Don Marlin!

Mance Granberg is a two-spirit Abenaki artist whose family originated from Odanak and Wolinak First Nation in Quebec and family lines are Gill and St. Aubin. Joining them is Anishnaabe and Mohawk artist, Don Marlin. Mance is a visual artist that paints in the Woodland style, exploring the relationships between people, animals, and plants and is rich with spiritual imagery and symbolism. Kchi Tolba means "great turtle" in Abenaki, and Mance will explain more at the festival about their drum and songs they will share.

🌻Meet the Artists of Compton Park Music Festival 2026 🌻Up next....Chantal Thompson!

Chantal Thompson is a Kingston-based jazz music vocalist and multidisciplinary artist with an international reputation. Not only is she a pillar of the Kingston jazz music scene, Chantal performs with world class musicians from Canada, the United States and Europe. Her music is played on radio and satellite stations around the world and she has performed in many notable festivals, including the Montreal jazz festival.

The festival features Mauricio Montecinos Savannah Shea Brass over Tea Kettle Ollin.ca Caity with a C MN SA Agum Wadhwa and Chantal Thompson!

Plus pop up performances by Kingston School Of Dance Canta Arya School for Strings , Ruby Twigg, and Maeve Burry

With food vendors Adelitaz Kingston Fry Way and Oasis providing excellent culinary options!

Plus a free yoga class and sound bath by Better Balance Wellness and Gav Session at 9 am.

Mauricio Montecinos, folk-classical and pop flamenco guitarist extraordinaire, combines Latin songwriting, composing, and arranging with an infectious blend of World Fusion rhythms. Mauricio's songs are a reflection of his roots in Chile and his life's' journey to share his love, and passion for music, this world, and its people. His performances are an invitation to celebrate this shared journey through music and dance! His tracks are available on Spotify, Apple Music and Youtube and have been broadcast across the county.

🌻Meet the Artists of Compton Park Music Festival 2026! 🌻 Next up... Agum Wadhwa !

Agum Wadhwa discovered his love for music in Grade 6 and spent his school years participating in numerous music competitions, earning several prizes along the way.

After moving to Canada in 2018, music took a back seat as he balanced full-time studies, multiple jobs, and the challenges of building a life away from home. Years later, he has returned to his musical roots and is now pursuing Indian classical music with renewed passion.

Deeply connected to Punjabi folk music and Bollywood, Agum also regularly hosts karaoke events, bringing people together through music. For him, performing is not just about being on stage—it’s about reconnecting with a passion that has always been a part of his journey.
