Participate in the Body-Choir with Nova Dance!

Award-winning dancer and choreographer Nova Bhattacharya (Nova Dance) invites the Kingston community members to participate in a FREE workshop series on September 13- 16! Together, we will co-create an opening invocation Body-Choir performance, presented alongside Svāhā! on October 7, 2026 as part of Kingston Grande Theatre season.

Why Join the Body-Choir? 

This Body-Choir is an opportunity for community members and dancers of all forms to learn from professionals, immerse themselves in the rehearsal process, learn new techniques and cultural practices, and perform at the Kingston Grand Theatre alongside the cast of Svāhā!

About the Show: Svāhā!  is a celebration of dance as a revitalizing ritual that brings us closer together. It is an offering of movement, music, colors, and sensations. Created by award-winning Nova Bhattacharya, Svāhā! embodies the transformative power of dance, expressing the uniqueness of the individual and the value of community.

Join us in this unique and enriching experience—be part of a performance that celebrates individuality and community through the art of dance.

We will be hosting our annual Open House and used dancewear sale on Thursday, September 3 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. You are most welcome to drop by the studio, at 31 Steve Fonyo Dr, to inquire about our classes, or register in person. We will also have used shoes and clothing for sale.
