My remaining little everyday studies are now available on my website for you! Painted from everyday life that have either intrigued me or made me want to desperately paint it, these are perfect little 5x7” additions painted on translucent yupo and ready to frame.

I’ll be hopefully making some more before I head to the over Labour Day weekend - I have tomatoes waiting to be painted 😍

I’ve started working on little 5x7” acrylic studies of things on yupo, which I’m currently obsessed with! It’s super smooth to paint on, and when you work on the translucent sheets like this one is on, it adds a whole other dimension to the way that the colours interact with each other.

A fun fact about me is that I actually trained as an oil painter in my undergrad! I haven’t really picked up oils very often since then because of life things - especially since I’ve fallen in love with acrylics - but recently I did a little study so I could reintroduce myself to them and feel a little less bumbling at work when it comes to talking about oils, and it was definitely weird getting back into the oils mindset! But I think I’m pleased??
