Recently I’ve had a number of people ask about some of the items I use, so I thought I’d make a post about my most frequently asked ones.

This is Keyni. Some of my absolute favorite portraits to create are the ones that step outside the norm like this. I love the aesthetic of an off-center, cropped composition. Moving away from a traditional centered look gives the piece a really clean, modern feel, and it puts all the focus right on their expression.

I had the opportunity to draw Summit not once, but twice.

The first portrait is the newest one I created of Summit, and the second was drawn in 2021.

It was such an honour to be trusted with another portrait of this beautiful girl. Thank you for asking me to capture her again. It truly means so much to create artwork that families will treasure.

Meet Lola. A beautiful Seal Point Himalyaln, with her striking blue eyes and beautiful coat.

Lola is part of a wonderful family that has trusted me with another portrait. I've recently finished working on Casper, who belongs to their daughter. It's always so special when families trust me to create portraits of more than one beloved pet. Thank you so much for your continued support. ❤️

Looking back at some of my old pastel drawings.

Pastels were actually one of the mediums I used to offer, but I eventually stopped because I could no longer find the paper I loved working on.

It's such a beautiful medium, and looking back at these pieces reminds me why I enjoyed it so much.

Maybe one day I'll give it another shot.

This is Casper. Casper was one of the finalists in my recent giveaway, and I'm so excited to finally share a little peek at his portrait.

There's something about Casper's bright green eyes against soft white fur that immediately catches your attention. It's such a beautiful contrast, and one of my favorite parts of this portrait to work on.

I can't wait to share the finished piece.
