Geometric Composition Blue / Yellow / Red
Amelia Glancy
2022

Hand-pulled silkscreen print
Edition of 25
12 x 16 inches

Inspired by Josef Albers, these prints are an exploration of his theories on the interaction of colour. Within these seemingly simple geometric compositions, the layered shapes provide a structure for the playful juxtaposition of tonal variations.

Special thanks to for helping us scan the works!

After a little break, we are happy to kick off 2023 with these original linocut prints by Amelia Glancy !

‘Midnight’ is an initial work exploring shape and form as a subject. The strong delineation of lines, subtle chatter in the ink, and overlapping spaces are boldly articulated by the black and white format.

‘New Moon’ is a print that is close to my heart as one of my first linoblock designs. This work started out as a gift for my mother, whose birthday fell on the new moon in Aquarius, and later ended up gracing the back cover of Joyful Joyful’s self-titled debut EP in 2022.

Each work is lovingly hand-printed on 345gsm acid-free paper.
