Okay… Sunday update, I think it’s time we talked about the part everyone is wondering about.
What are these 100 little oil paintings going to cost?
And there’s a reason I’ve kept the price intentionally accessible for those who have been here for the journey...

The whole point of The 100 Study Collection was to give myself permission to experiment, play, to try different ideas, places, compositions, colours and ways of seeing things without knowing exactly where they would lead.

Because sometimes you have to paint a few versions/ideas (currently obsessed with fish) to discover through repitition something that clicks. 🐟 🐟 🐟
Eager to tackle boats and shorelines next, but feel free to suggest a subject matter you'd like to see.

Choosing art doesn't have to be intimidating.

“How do I know if I actually like it, or if I just like the idea of owning art?”
Give it a little time. If you keep thinking about it, that’s usually a pretty good clue. Your brain is doing the shopping for you.

“Can I come look at your paintings without feeling obligated to buy something?”
Absolutely. Come look. Touch everything. Buy nothing. Just tell me I'm pretty. We can still be friends. 😂

“Is it weird to ask how long it took to paint?”
Not at all. But the answer is usually something like a lifetime, an adventure, years of trial and error..... And 3 days.

“Can you tell me what you were thinking when you painted it?”
Of course. But I also love hearing what YOU think it’s about. Sometimes collectors see things I never intended.

“Does it matter if I don’t understand what the painting is about?”
Nope. If you're vibing, it's a match. You can get to know each other.

“Can you hold it for me while I think about it?”
You can ask. I may lovingly tell you that someone else is also thinking very hard about it. 😉

“What if I love it but my partner doesn’t?”
Then we have discovered the true test of a relationship.

“Is it okay to buy a painting because it reminds me of a place I love?”
That might be one of the best reasons to buy one.

“How do I know if it will look good in my house?”
Send me a photo, I promise not to judge your couch.

“Can I see what it looks like on my wall?”
Absolutely. Technology has finally made it socially acceptable to virtually redecorate your house with my paintings.

“Do artists ever negotiate on price?”
Some do, most don't. Save it for the flea market or risk accidentally insulting the artist.

“Can I pay in installments?”
Sometimes, yes. I want you to enjoy the painting not eat ramen for six months because of it.

“Can I buy it because it makes me happy?”
Please. We need more reasons to buy things that make us happy.
