Helen is also a local activist that aims to raise awareness about mental illness by donating 10% of her painting sales to the Kingston Defeat Depression campaign, a program that raises funds for mental health services in Helen’s community. After Helen finished her degree at Queen’s University (B.A. Hons 2009), she was diagnosed with depression. Since then, she has learned to channel the suffering into her art. Nowadays, Helen paints by a window with lots of sunlight and music. When not painting, she loves spending time with her two dogs, Molly and Talullah, as well as swimming in Lake Ontario.

Only three more days until Artfest Kingston.🥰

You’ll soon be able to find me KCAD ‘s tent Artfest Kingston in City Park next Friday, June 26 until Sunday, June 28 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm each day.

I’ll be featuring my brand new fun buttons, as well as my Wizard of Oz paintings.

It’s going to be a great way to kick off the summer in Kingston.

Here's a great idea for your Sunday: a visit to the Wolfe Island Gallery, and the Craft Shop next door! We're open today until 4pm. And only a two minute walk from the ferry, if you're coming from Kingston.

We’re just 2 days away from the Downtown Kingston Princess Street Promenade.🥰

I’ll be outside KCAD this Saturday, June 20 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm with my greeting cards, magnets, keychains, and my new Oz themed piece, “King of the Forest” ($200, 12” x 12”, Acrylic on Wood).🌈

I’ll be one of many KCAD vendors this Saturday. It’s going to be a blast!
