Spring is here, it's time for cake! 🍰🌸
My last post was from Christmas and now here it's spring. Sort of. It's kind of taking its time this year. There has been a lot going on in my personal life that's kept me from focusing on clay as much, but I'm still having fun with it when I can.
This cake is for my Mother-in-law's birthday today! My 4 yr old and I decided to make her some pieces (his sculpture of Grandma is the last pic - sorry for poor pic quality, red is tough to capture!). So the challenge was to work alongside my preschooler while helping him out with the clay, using only what's in a Fimo multipack we picked up, and not making it an hours-long endeavour like usual. I think it turned out well, considering! Though I cheated a bit by adding some liquid Sculpey for the icing 😉
I hope everyone is having a lovely start to spring so far 🌷🌸🌿

I made one of the Ice Stars from True & the Rainbow Kingdom🌈 into a little charm. My 4 yr old's been really into the show lately and approved of this creation 😅 he also insisted I add the little cat paw print on the side of the star, to make it even more like the one on the show. I got a new camera! Well, a whole new phone, but for Instagram purposes I now have a new camera! Looking forward to all the lovely new things I can do with it, it's a bit of a learning curve but it's already miles ahead of my previous one. So in love!
