A Message to the Community of Kenora
On behalf of Shake the Lake team, we want to extend our deepest thanks to the people of Kenora for your incredible support over the years. This community has shown us enthusiasm, pride, and appreciation for the events we’ve brought to the waterfront, and we are truly grateful.
After careful consideration, we want to share that Shake the Lake will not be hosting an event in 2026. Large-scale festivals are expensive undertakings, and with rising costs across production, staffing, infrastructure, and logistics, it isn’t always feasible to produce the kind of high-quality experience that is desired. We have explored options through grants, the city, and multiple other sources. Unfortunately this is the outcome.
Please get out and support community events like KBI and Lakeside Live. If we want events like these to sustain, they need to be supported. Buy a ticket.
A special thank you to our volunteers for the countless hours, and sponsors who gave our community the chance to enjoy something.
Thank you again for being such an amazing part of the Shake the Lake journey.
