Violets in my garden 2022

When Russia invaded Ukraine, I created a number of graphics so that I could explore my feelings about this horrible situation and the plight of the everyday people of Ukraine. As I explored different approaches and researched the meaning behind both the flag of Ukraine and sunflowers (Ukraine's national flower), a landscape emerged.

As heartbroken as I was over this tragic moment in our history, I could not let go of the thought that we still have hope and that the light will return to the land of Ukraine.

Correcting a photo provided by a client for a commission. I will not finish editing the bottom of this photo (on the right) because it is part of a larger project. I can bring your images back from distortion and even correct so that cracks, distortions and details are brought back to life.

Recently completed project for The Ottawa Ethnic Media Forum. Work included; photography, photo editing and compositing, and design (front/back covers and spine).
COVID-19 Chronicles: Part 2 Road to Recovery is an anthology of stories, poems and articles documenting our COVID-19 experiences. Proceeds from this book will be donated to the Ottawa Heart Institute.
