All the Freddy folks past and present were so sad to hear of the passing of one of our favorite people, Rawle Iam James, who performed in both Our Country’s Good and One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest with us. He brought a devilish smile to all the good that he did, and Rob will miss hearing him boom ‘CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN’ whenever he ran into him out in the wild. 😁
Favorite Rawle memories: Him standing onstage with this big spear and aboriginal makeup performing powerful lines with such grace and empathy for the material.
Also: him confusing the hell out of Rob by requesting to perform the show in blackface, just to mess with people. Then cackling with laughter as Rob tried to figure out how that would work…. 😂😂
Rest In Peace you lovely man. We love you ❤️

Second last show tonight!

Next up, let's meet the wonderful Elizabeth Moore!

This is Lizz’s first production with Fred Skeleton, in fact, it’s her first production since she was in high school - don’t ask how long ago that was. In 2019 she started taking acting classes through Fred Skeleton as a way to rekindle her love for theatre. To say she’s been excited to get back on the stage would be an understatement.

During the day, Lizz is a stay at home mom to her 2 year old son, Fox. Lizz spent afternoons reciting her lines for the 30 Neo-Futurist plays from, "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind," 30 plays in 60 minutes, while Fox protested his Mom talking to her imaginary friends.

Come and see Liz performing her heart out, tonight, at the Rotary Center for the Arts, 8pm!

30 Neo-Futurist plays from, "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind," 30 plays in 60 minutes is coming soon and we're thrilled to be able to return to the stage, starting October 13th!

We have an incredibly talented cast, let's meet them!

First, introducing Peter Church.

This is Peter’s first show with Fred Skeleton and he couldn’t be happier about it. He’d like to thank Rob and Shannon for their hospitality and direction (and whisky). Peter is a vocational actor from Toronto where he logged thousands of hours in repertory with the Classical Theatre Project in plays with snappy one-name titles like Macbeth, Hamlet, and Othello. He was last seen by Kelowna audiences as Antonio Salieri in Amadeus at Kelowna Actors Studio, and has worked with local companies such The Virago Collective, New Vintage Theatre, and Red Dot Players.

Welcome to the Freddy team, Peter!
