Massive massive massive shout out to the people of Kelowna and especially Ty with THEsalon on St. Paul! Just made it across the Kelowna bridge when a guy flagged us down “you’re dumping a ton of radiator fluid!”😳
Right away we starter overheating and jumped down a residential road.
The heater hose from the rad broke so called and every shop was closed and lordco would be a week for the part.
However Ty one of the Neighbors came over to offer help! He offered to take us to lordco to try to make something work.
We walk into Lordco and ask about the part again and the front desk guy says “like one of these?” As he pulls the part out from under the desk. He just bought it for his uncle and after some pleading he let us buy it! 😃🙏
We go back and start repairing the rad and another neighbour Ed come out with ice water and a couple cups! Sheesh people of Kelowna are so nice!! 😃😃 Go check out Ty at his shop if you need a haircut! 😃

1 blown trailer tire more and we made it home! 😆🤪

What a dream! 🤩🤩 Thank you so much Peguerto Torrao (Spud) for generously donating this famous little jigger to us! Anyone driving from Oliver to Osoyoos has seen this many times on the West side of the highway and has been an iconic marker for many years! Spud has sold the his farm and moving to town so it was perfect timing for us to receive this little gem! Spud loved working for BC Rail for 30 years and had the opportunity to collect many rail memorabilia and now happily gets to pass on his collection for many others to see! It was a bit scary picking it up off of the mount but once down it slid right in the trailer perfectly on our wood rails. Unloading was incredibly simple with just a rope and friction on the front and was unloaded in 10 min. I can’t get over what a dream this is! I remember seeing these pass my town in Manitoba growing up and now have one in our building is beyond unreal! Thank you Thank you Thank you so much Spud! 🙏😃

With a few big setbacks we are still in full swing. 2 of 4 computers were that run the whole system were down. One was just a power supply issue and simple to fix. The other took 3 technicians and MONTH of problem solving but it is now FIXED and on our way!
Then baby! Woo Hoo! Yes Brigitte gave birth to out sweet little Elise and mom and baby are doing great! 1 day home from the hospital and Brigitte said "can we go and start on the train again" 🤣🤣
I had to force her to chill and rest! What a lady!
Ok Chop Chop time! 😃
Since most of these pieces are REALLY wide we opted to cover a flatbed trailer. It was suggested to tarp and wrap the trailer but that never made it 1km down the road. 😆
SO father, son and grampa built a house! I mean covered top. It was tricky because with the 1 layout section on the trailer we had to lift and work around it. But it worked out perfectly and haled the first piece. By 4:00 at night we had a offloading ramp built and the first piece at its new home! 😃😃
With some small modifications we were able to bring the 2nd piece right away. We have since beefed up the ramp at the original location because I really didn't like how sketch it was in 2x4's. So now we are in full swing!
OH and a HUGE announcement coming soon! A very unexpected donation! 😃

Thousands of feet of wiring pulled and about 90% out. Just a couple small rats nests of wiring left! 🤣🤪
Wiring ran 3 floors from boiling hot attics to cool basements we thought we were in Hot / Cold sauna treatment.🥵🥶😂

Go BLUE 💙 or go home! 🤩
Who doesn’t love a big bold blue sky! After lots of consideration we decided not only to paint a sky blue background for the coming giant model train layout, but also opted to paint the ENTIRE ceiling blue also! We have big plans for the ceiling to follow! 🤩
With the building pretty much ready to receive the wonderland, we are one giant step closer! 🤩🚂

The building progress! 😃
Started off as a Roller Skating arena back in 1970 as many of you might remember! The last 20 years it was used by Folding Sliding Doors Canada with many modifications. Now it's being brought back to family use!! So cool and exciting! Needs a ton of work and cleanup but its on its way! 😃
