Thank you to Emily Carr's Perrin Grauer, who wrote a very thoughtful and eloquent article about my Artist in Residence project 'When it is Necessary to Stand Still', with the City of Kelowna last summer.

Kelowna residents fell in love with Melany’s participatory artwork When it is necessary to stand still, to the delight of the artist and ECU alum.

These beacons glow and become brighter or dimmer and change colour as they move closer or further from each other. They were made as part of a residency with in 2020.

Pouring some new dodecahedrons out of resin. They take about a month to pour each of the 1 oz layers, with 3 days of drying time in between.
