What do you think mermaids actually look like after hundreds of thousands of years evolving in the ocean?

This is A Siren’s Return, the first piece in my series, The Natural History of Myth.

The series brings beings from mythology to life as though they were real species we could encounter in the wild today. For this piece, I imagined how sirens may have evolved in the ocean while humans evolved on land.

Does she look believable to you? Is this close to what you picture, or completely different?
