We’re getting ready to start our next round of classes and have a few spots left in Improv 101 and Audition Skills.

To help round out the training, the Improv and Audition classes are currently a 2-for-1 deal—essentially, if you’re in one, you’re in both!

If you've been thinking about getting involved in the local film and TV industry, tomorrow is the day to do it.

Saturday, April 18th Schedule:

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Welcome to the Biz (FREE)
A straightforward introduction to the industry in the Okanagan. We’ll discuss how to get started, the different paths available (on-camera and crew), and how to navigate the local landscape.

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM | The On-Set Experience ($50)
A practical, technical session for those ready to work. We cover professional set etiquette, terminology, and the hierarchy of a production so you can walk onto your first set with confidence.

How to attend:
Since the online portal is closed, drop-ins are welcome for both sessions. You can simply check in with us when you arrive. For the afternoon workshop, we can process your $50 registration fee on-site via cash or credit.

Ready to move beyond the basics and start developing your professional voiceover skills?

Voiceover 201 at EMC Studios is designed for students who already have some voiceover experience and want to deepen their technique, improve performance, and gain confidence behind the microphone.

This 6-week in-person course will explore the nuances of professional voiceover work, helping participants refine their delivery, interpret scripts, and better understand what clients and producers are looking for.

Learn from Ara of 103.1 Beach Radio, who brings real-world broadcasting and voiceover experience to the classroom.

Participants will work on:
Script interpretation
Performance technique
Microphone skills
Commercial and broadcast style reads
Developing confidence and versatility behind the mic

Whether you're preparing for auditions, demos, or professional opportunities, this course will help you continue building your voiceover toolkit.
