Ink Aura: A Mixed Media Extravaganza!
All Day Class in Mixed Media Techniques!

This is an all day in-store class, there will be no kits available. Please call to reserve your seat. Payment is necessary at time of reservation. 250-762-5223 There is homework for this class which will be available for pick-up by Monday, June 29th.
In this class, we will be creating 9 mixed media art cards that are a finished size of 5x8 each. They are created on heavy weight watercolour card stock, will be beautifully matted on heavyweight cardstock, and perfect for framing! If you would rather have them in an art journal book, it is included in your class! For this class, I am supplying a 5.5 x 8.5 inch coil bound book for you to add your beautiful creations to... I also added some collage stamping to the blank pages, making this a beautiful journal. Be sure to check out the reel I posted of the stunning art journal!
The focus of this amazing class, is to have an opportunity to create visually stunning backgrounds, and how to add a focal point. We will be using an assortment of products and techniques to achieve this; texture paste, collage stamping, inks, stencils, and more!! I will be supplying a number of fun detailed stencils, collage stamps, inks, brushes for stenciling.
In order to really immerse ourselves and learn the techniques necessary, I have decided to dedicate a whole day to this class. We will have two scheduled breaks throughout this class. You will need to be able to move around the classroom and be on your feet for this class. If you have difficulty standing for stretches of time, this class will not be suitable. Please bring snacks/food that doesn't require refrigeration or heating. We will stop for our breaks, but there is no time to leave the store to pick up a lunch, so be sure to bring adequate food/beverages with you.
Please review the class supply list and make sure to have your items with you for class. If you don't have something on the list, please come early or give me a call. to arrange for the items to be pulled for your class in advance. Just a reminder that I am here 1/2 hr early for classes to help you get settled for class, which starts promptly at the posted time. Thank you.
Class Supply List: Detail scissors and/or x-acto blade and self healing mat, Black ink and sponge for edging (I used black soot oxide ink), Versafine Black inkpad (Nocturne or Onyx black), regular scissors for distressing edges (or distressing tool if you prefer), double sided tape, liquid glue (I used Tombow Multi glue), regular black pop dots (lots), black texture paste (please let me know if you need this item), spatula for applying paste, a couple of small acrylic blocks if you have them, stencils with small or interesting details you would like to use (I will have some, But I encourage you to use some of your own favourites), blower tool (for moving ink around, if you have one).
