🚴‍♂️ What a great way to start the day at The Saucy Willow Inn!

We were delighted to host a wonderful group of long-distance cyclists last night as they made their way through beautiful Kawartha Lakes. After a day spent conquering kilometres, they enjoyed a well-deserved evening of rest, good conversation, and a hearty breakfast before setting off on the next leg of their journey.

There’s something inspiring about welcoming travellers who are exploring our region one pedal stroke at a time. We wish this amazing group safe travels, strong tailwinds, and unforgettable memories on the road ahead!

We're currently seeking a qualified Tai Chi instructor who would be interested in offering classes, workshops, retreats, or wellness experiences in our peaceful heritage setting in Coboconk.

Surrounded by gardens, willow trees, and the charm of our 148-year-old inn, The Saucy Willow Inn provides the perfect backdrop for mindful movement and wellness programming.

A Little Piece of History Under Restoration 🏡

One of the most loved features of The Saucy Willow Inn is the large covered porch that welcomes our guests. What many people don’t realize is that when this beautiful home was built 148 years ago, this wasn’t actually the front porch at all—it was the side porch of the original house.

After nearly a century and a half of Ontario seasons, the porch floor had reached the point where repairs could no longer wait. We are carefully replacing damaged boards and refinishing the entire surface to preserve both its beauty and its history for future generations. Including a full restoration of the corner limestone pillar

Owning a heritage property is a labour of love. Every repair is a balance between maintaining the character of the building and ensuring it remains safe, comfortable, and welcoming for our guests.

As we work, we can’t help but imagine the countless conversations, family gatherings, and quiet moments that have taken place on these boards over the last 148 years. Soon, this historic porch will be ready to create many more memories.
