We are already making plans for Music for the People 2026! The concert will feature individual and collaborative performances from artists like Margit Bandura and Henry Small, as well as the internationally acclaimed music group the Spiritual Warriors, blending Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists in a celebration of music, culture, and reconciliation

Our list of performers for this upcoming May 30th market is here!

Starting our day off, we've got The Saxman with some awesome tunes from 11:00am - 12:30pm
Then we've got Kamloops TrainRex from 1:00pm - 3:00pm
And sending us off is Jon Fennell from 3:30pm - 4:30pm

We want to thank everyone for their continued support of this very special event in the heart of Kamloops, and our artists who are giving of themselves to their communities.

Art and music bring us together in times of uncertainty, in times of celebration, and we are so grateful for our community of artists to make this event and all our future events so special.

Spring Fling Artisan Market & Fundraiser
May 30, 10AM - 5PM at Moccasin Square Gardens
357 Chief Alex Thomas Way, Kamloops

The Spring Fling market is open to people of all backgrounds to come together and spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon together. Come and browse local artisan vendors, grab a snack, listen to some live music, and support our fundraising efforts for the 2026 Music for the People - A Cultural Experience!

Admission to visit the market is FREE. We will have a donation booth available to those who are willing and able to donate to help ensure that the 2026 concert is a special experience.

ABOUT MUSIC FOR THE PEOPLE:
The Music for the People Society is committed to providing accessible and special musical experiences featuring Indigenous musicians, traditional and contemporary styles of music, and a never before heard mix of styles and artistic backgrounds.

For the last four years, Music for the People Society has hosted a cultural concert to bring people together, to celebrate diversity, and heal through music and connection. Supporting local artisans, musicians, and community partners by organizing a stunning evening of cross-cultural music. Cash Charters was the recipient of the Rod Littlesky Bandura Music Scholarship, created to uplift Indigenous Peoples with a passion for music. Cash will receive a guitar and a full year of music lessons from Long & McQuade, continuing Rod’s legacy of nurturing Indigenous musical talent.

The 4th Annual Music for the People—A Cultural Experience is TONIGHT at the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc Powwow Arbour.

Thanks to our incredible sponsors and supporters, this year’s event will be free of charge for all attendees. The Indian Residential School Survivors Society will also be on site to smudge, answer any questions and collect donations for those wanting to support their work.
