4elements is excited to welcome back 2022 artist-in-residence Georgia Hathaway, and friends, to Kagawong for a FREE Mindful Music Workshop. Georgia, Kathryn and Elena will guide participants through a workshop focusing on mindful awareness, vocal discovery and improvisational play. The aim is to help you gain a deeper sense of attunement to the present moment and a connectedness with self & others through the voice, breath, and body.

Join us Friday August 11 from 2-4pm at the Riverbend Stage. Plus, check out these artists perform in the evening at the Kagawong Concert Series

It’s just over a week until our next concert at the Old Church on the Hill in Kagawong. Georgia Hathaway and friends will enchant us with their music Friday August 11th. Doors open at 7:00 and the show will begin at 7:30.

Georgia Hathaway is next up at the Kagawong Concert Series on Friday August 11 at 7:30. We'll have ticket information up soon; in the meantime, here's some information about Georgia's music!
Inspired by the wild places, both inner and outer, Georgia’s meditative, blues-y folk songs are at once intimate, and expansive. Georgia invites you into their world of organic expressions, weaving animal calls, nonsense syllables, and evocative lyrics. Combining delicate vocals with rootsy resonator dobro, picked guitar, and fiddle, they create a unique sound that is both haunting and joyful.
Recently they have joined forces with incredible musicians Kathryn Merriam (harp, vocals), Tristan Murphy (accordion, saw, vocals) and Elena Spanu (violin, vocals) to create “The Wilderness Inside.”
In 2022, Georgia was the official Artist-in-Residence at the 4elements Living Arts Mobile Studio on Manitoulin Island. They have performed at the 4elements Living Arts Elemental Festival. In addition to folk and blues, they have ventured into indie-pop territory with their most recent single and video, “Night Dancer.” They have recently released a self-titled EP and are currently recording an album of new material from their Artist Residency.
