May 1 - the day we have been so happily anticipating for the last decade of trail rides. Sadly, the forest is still under A LOT of snow and trails are inaccessible (and lots of clean up and trees down from winter wind storms!). We have been slowly getting the boys on some rides to prepare for the season ... so tentatively aiming for May 15th - with the potential of a June 1 opening.

The spring ride inquiries have been filling the inbox .. and our usual opening day of May 1 for the last decade, is definitely not going to be happening this year. We have FEET of snow + a lot of ice, seasonably chilly weather for the next while and horses that need to be legged up once the ice and snow disappear.

So stay tuned folks. Spring is NOT here at LTTR yet ...

2026 struck and here we are .... SEASON TEN!!!!! TEN YEARS OF TRAIL RIDING!!! 🤯 Mind blowing.

I don't know what we are going to do to celebrate such a milestone, but we will do something to share our appreciation with you all who have supported us throughout the years.

Until then. Hello from the snowy snowy north - the most snow we've seen in all 15 years living here on the ranch! Will this have an impact on our season opening (May 1)? Possibly. But we will keep you all posted.

The boys have been enjoying their time off!

We dispersed the boys into their big ol grass paddock with their friends and have called it a wrap on YEAR NINE.

Shawn and I want to thank every single person who came to the ranch this season and made it a memorable one. We had so many amazing conversations, laughs and stories shared with people from all walks of life from all parts of the globe. It has truly been an honor to share our love of horses with you!

To our four legged steeds.
Major, Teddy, Fred, Jack, Denny, Bo, Shiners, Johnny, & Tucker. These guys are the most rock solid bunch of horses that we are so proud of. We say it almost every single ride - it takes a very special horse to do this job and they do it with ease.

Lastly - If you've rode with us and have a spare moment in your day to leave us a review, we would appreciate that oh so much!
