Today we learned about beavers! Ask your children why do beavers build dams? We tried building some and it’s not easy! It was certainly messy and fun for this rainy day.

Good morning STEAM Factory families!

Our location has temporarily changed while the Jus Jordan Arena Pool Hall is under renovations. Today we will be at the Jus Jordan Arena multi-purpose room. Use the hockey arena doors and head up to the top past the arena seats. If you go to the back wall behind the nets you will see a wheelchair ramp/door. Head in there and to the left!

We will see you there at 4:30pm!

Your children may bring a drink and snack. The class runs until 6pm.

Just a reminder classes are every second week until the end of November.

Looking forward to seeing you there!! 💚⚙🦫

Today we learned about birds! Ask your children how heavy a Bald Eagles nest is. Or what kind of nests do Baltimore Orioles make? Where do Downy Woodpeckers live? We attempted making Robins nests today and tested them to hold the egg in, in a wind, tilt and shake test! The kids learnt a few things and had fun being creative!
