It is always difficult to put into words all the feelings one feels at the end of a production. One thing for certain though is our gratitude for the long list of people who supported us with Bang Bang, by Kat Sandler, our latest theatrical endeavor. So, thank you to:
- All the Iqalummiut who came to our shows and panel discussion, and laughed and cried with us
- The Canadian Race Relations Foundation for their financial contribution
- Emma Laird at GGA for the production rights and their encouraging words
- the Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum for hosting us, and being available during the rehearsals and the shows long hours
- the Qajuqturvik Community Food Centre and the ᖃᐅᔨᒋᐊᕐᑏᑦ Qaujigiartiit Health Research Centre for allowing us to rehearse in their space for months
- the City of Iqaluit ᓄᓇᓕᐸᐅᔭᐃᑦ ᐃᖃᓗᐃᑦ for their letter of support necessary for our funding request
- Omanola Djalogue for her constant support throughout the production and for being our panel moderator
- This Is Living Now Photography (Nat Ryann), our photographer, who made our cast and production look amazing
- Antony Morell who made the TWO SHOTS posters and spent about 2 months working with us for a 10 seconds gag (oh but what I great gag that was!)
- Cameron Murton who filmed one of the shows, allowing us to share it with friends and family who couldn’t make it
- Victoria Perron and Brandon Villeneuve and Trevor John Dunseith for welcoming our guests at the door
- DNK Events & Services Inc. for providing the catering, including the delicious African donuts
- Friends and families who supported the cast at home.
And finally, thank you for the entire cast and crew, Jessie Hale, Maggie Hu, Murielle Jassinthe, Krystal Mattews, Akai and Jason Gautreau, for believing in this project and how important it was, for putting in the hours, and for representing the theatre that I always wanted to be part of.
