In honour of the new year, a 2023 recap! This has been such an amazing year from starting my last year of high school, expanding my business, and most of all winning Youth Entrepreneur of the Year! It has been so amazing doing all these markets and exploring more of what I can create for people.
That being said, a few changes are coming.
I’d love to be able to say that there is so much more in store for River Craft in 2024 but unfortunately, there isn’t. As I’m applying for universities and gearing up to leave Invermere, I am cutting way back on markets. I won’t be gone forever, but as I enter this new chapter I won’t be able to give River Craft as much attention as I have these past few years. River Craft is still my passion and is definitely not shutting down, this just means you might not see me at all the usual markets. In the new year I am going to focus on making things for local shops such as Black Star and working on custom orders. As much as I will miss my community, I am excited to take River Craft to a new one! I’m turning 18 in exactly 16 days and will start hearing from schools in the spring. I’m going to update everyone more about my life as everyone here has become a family to me. I am so grateful, nervous, and excited to be starting 2024, it will be like no other.
