Scenic Splendor - Nature & Recreation Center A private nature centre available for rental for your outdoor activities, small groups, and community events. A gazebo and prayer garden are in the works.

Scenic Splendor Sanctuary is a rustic day retreat centre that includes a small off-grid building that we call our one-room schoolhouse, a large grassy area, apple trees, and hiking trails. The space can be rented in half or full days for crafting events, book clubs, writer's groups, musical groups, yoga classes, bible studies, and much more. The site is equipped with an outhouse, solar lights, and an outdoor fire stove. There is no running water. Parking on site.

I made an app!!!! NatureLog!!!

Track your daily weather, note your connection with nature, and learn some ASL nature words, too!

My app is web-based and FREE (simply add it to your home screen). Sign in with an email and password and you are all set.

The monthly graphs and daily summaries are great for classroom use!!!

I hope to officially launch the app in September, so collect some data over summer and tell me about your experience!

I had a group of kids helping to prep Scenic Splendor for the season, and given a list of tasks, they all chose to dig out thistles. I thought that was pretty cool. Being outside and working hard is still something kids are up for ❤️👨‍🌾👩‍🌾🌱🌿
