We just received an email from the Rainbow Railroad thanking us for our donation. We just wanted to thank everyone who came to our Kellie Loder/Madison Violet show which allowed us to support this amazing organization. Here is there message to us:

Thank you SO MUCH for your generous support of Rainbow Railroad.
Since our founding in 2006, Rainbow Railroad has been able to provide critical assistance through our Emergency Travel Support program to more than 2,000 LGBTQI+ individuals fleeing life-threatening situations in violation of their basic human rights, and helped them to find freedom in a welcoming new country. In addition, we have provided short-term financial aid and other support to thousands more who have reached out for our expertise. This work could not have been done without donors like you.

However, the need for our expertise and assistance is increasing dramatically, especially in light of the ongoing instability caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent return to power of the Taliban in Afghanistan. The numbers speak for themselves; in 2021, Rainbow Railroad received requests for assistance from over 7,000 LGBTQI+ people – more than any other time in our organization’s history. This year we're on track for more than 10,000 requests.

Your generous gifts are already being put to good use and we hope it gives you comfort to know that, thanks to your generous gift, more people will be able to live freely, openly and without fear.

P.S. — In case you missed it, our 2021 Annual Report launched in June analyzes the issues being faced by LGBTQI+ people globally through the lens of the data Rainbow Railroad has collected over the course of 2021. We couldn't have done any of this work without donors like you!

Due to unforseen circumstances the Muskoka Intimate Concert Series has to postpone their August 18ty concert featuring Rose Cousins and Justin Rutledge.

All ticket holders will receive a full refund and you will be the first to know once we have a new date. Buck and Scott are committed to bringing both of these amazing artists to Huntsville and they are working on a new date with the artists' management.

In the meantime, check out the amazing lineup that the Huntsville Festival of the Arts has for the rest of the summer.
