There is a big difference in how your body reacts with forceps VS freehand. I like to use forceps for certain areas such as tongue piercings to avoid my client reacting by pulling their tongue back in or for septums to be able to properly stretch the sweet spot for an easier entry and a straighter trajectory, but freehand is my usual go-to. It provides a better healing overall since it keeps the swelling to a minimum and doesn't affect blood vessels, it's also much more confortable for the client!

These type of project are produced over a couple months, up to a full year minimum. The process goes accordingly to your body's healing capacity. I recommend starting with 3 at a time, give them time to heal properly then moving on to a couple more. Are you up to commit?
