What's Up!!?? The "Big Little Canadian Film Festival" is happening!!! NOW!! That's what's up!! What an incredible line-up of curated films showing day and night for the next four days at the Hudson Village Theatre! I was in attendance for the warm and beautiful Canadian story of "Mr. Dressup", yesterday and then into the evening with the talented passionate director/writer Pascale Plante and his Canadian psychological thriller film, "Red Rooms". Q and A with him after the film was extremely interesting and just one of the highlights of the festival experience this week.

Its raining!! I would highly recommend getting your butts over to the festival. Day and evening showing!! See line-up here. 6 Film Pass for $50.00. Single tickets at the door if available. $10.00 6https://www.hudsonfilmsociety.ca/hudson-film-festival-2024/

This extraordinary play is the story of five unmarried sisters eking out their lives in a small village in Ireland in 1936. We meet them at the time of the festival of Lughnasa, which celebrates the pagan god of the harvest with drunken revelry and dancing. Their spare existence is interrupted by brief, colorful bursts of music from the radio, their only link to the romance and hope of the world at large

Outside the village of Ballybeg, the five Mundy sisters battle poverty to raise seven-year-old Michael and care for their brother, ‘Uncle’ Jack.
