BILINGUAL CAMP | CAMP BILINGUE
This summer, we’re opening the door to the world of animation, and your teen is invited in!
We are pleased to announce the Animation Creation Summer Camp designed for junior high and senior high school students. This initiative brings together arts education, environmental awareness, and youth creativity through the medium of animation and filmmaking.
The camp is be organized by William Dueck, Director of the Hudson Creative Hub, in collaboration with Daniel Schorr, a prize-winning animation filmmaker and teacher in the Media Arts Department at John Abbott College. The program is also connected to the Hudson Animation and Short Film Festival (HASFF), a Hudson Creative Hub initiative directed by Joelle Jérémie.
From July 13-17, 2026, teens will spend a full week diving into the art of 2D animation with hands-on projects, creative challenges, and real skills they’ll actually use.
The highlight? Campers will work in small teams of up to four to create a fully original animated short film – completely from scratch! And the best part: finished films will have the chance to be screened at the Hudson Animation and Short Film Festival (HASFF) this September. That’s not just a day camp project. That’s a real audience, a real festival, and a real opportunity to shine.

Cette saison estivale, nous vous invitons à découvrir l’univers de l’animation, et votre adolescent est chaleureusement convié à se joindre à nous !
Nous avons le plaisir d’annoncer le camp d’été de création en animation, conçu pour les élèves du premier et du deuxième cycle du secondaire. Cette initiative rassemble l’éducation artistique, la sensibilisation à l’environnement et la créativité des jeunes à travers le médium de l’animation et du cinéma.
Le camp est organisé par William Dueck, directeur du Centre Créatif Hudson, en collaboration avec Daniel Schorr, cinéaste d’animation primé et enseignant au département des arts médiatiques du John Abbott College. Le programme est également lié au Festival d'animation et de courts métrages (HASFF), une initiative du Centre Créatif Hudson dirigée par Joelle Jérémie.
Du 13 au 17 juillet 2026, les participants vivront une semaine immersive dans l’univers de l’animation 2D grâce à des projets concrets et à des défis stimulants. Ils développeront ainsi de véritables compétences créatives et techniques.
En petites équipes de quatre, les ados réaliseront un court métrage d’animation entièrement original — de l’idée initiale jusqu’au produit final. Et le moment fort ? Leur film pourrait être projeté lors du Festival d’animation et de courts métrages de Hudson (HASFF) en septembre prochain. Bien plus qu’un simple camp : une véritable expérience de création, avec un vrai public et une occasion unique de se démarquer.
