Hook Me Up. Handmade, slow-made.
You guys! It’s official. It’s real. I have a business. And I’m absolutely hyped (and a bit scared if I’m being honest).
I’ve spent the last several months researching anything and everything about small handcraft businesses. It was months of business planning, figuring out my why, and figuring out what I wanted for the future. It was months of reading the Canadian Consumer Product Safety Act and Toys Regulations over and over, figuring out how to test my products and ensure that what I was making was safe and compliant. It was months of testing patterns/materials, tracking expenses, and getting an idea of the time it took to create certain items. But mostly it was months of self-doubt and anxiety over even thinking that this was something that I could do. So to those that have supported me and hyped me up over these past several months, thank you.
I’ll share more about the who, the what, and the why in future posts but for now I would like to share what this page will be:
❊ A portfolio of some of the work that I’ve done
❊ A place to market and sell some of my ready-to-ship items
❊ A place to educate and show some behind-the-scenes of my craft
❊ A place to value, encourage, and celebrate the joys of craftsmanship
Thanks to everyone who’s reached this far in this very wordy post. I hope you all have the loveliest of lovely days!
