Annual Shutdown Update! 🔧

Things are looking a little different at the Houston Leisure Facility these days! Our pools are empty, gym equipment has taken over the hallways, and our annual maintenance shutdown is officially underway! Huge shout out to our staff for their hard work during this time!

Here's our reopening schedule:

Fitness Centre: Closed October 12–25, with plans to reopen Monday, October 26.

Pools: Scheduled to reopen Monday, November 2.

✨ Something exciting is coming! We're also getting some updated fitness equipment! We can't wait to share these improvements with you.

Thanks for your patience while we give the facility a little TLC! We look forward to welcoming everyone back soon! 💙

The District is looking for community groups interested in helping decorate Steelhead Park for Christmas Light Up!

Sunday, October 11th is your last chance for a workout for a couple of weeks! We are closed for Thanksgiving on Monday the 12th followed by full facility shutdown to scrub and reset for the gym to reopen on October 26th and the aquatics areas to reopen on November 2nd

Annual Maintenance Shutdown – Houston Leisure Facility!

Our annual maintenance shutdown is coming up! Please note the following closure dates:

🏊 Aquatic Centre
Closed October 5 – November 1
Reopening Monday, November 2

🏋️ Fitness Centre
Closed October 12 – 25
Reopening Monday, October 26

Membership Options:
Annual and monthly memberships can be suspended during the shutdown if you do not plan to use the BV Pool, or you can ask us about a pass swap with BV Pool and Recreation Centre in Smithers.

Please note:
• Punch passes are not eligible for suspension or pass swaps.
• Membership suspensions must be requested in person at the front desk before the shutdown begins and cannot be applied retroactively.
