"Meadowlands". This whimsical piece incorporates turned elements along with handcrafted flora elements. Pine cones provided the plants' leaves and wings of the dragonfly. Green is the only color added to compliment the natural wood elements. The birds are offset turned.

Finally, the 16' table is complete and delivered to the happy customers, just in time for their family Christmas dinner. This will seat 18 people easily. The tressle style table base is Red Oak with a black stain. The top is quartersawn Red Oak with a clear finish. Lots of color, grain, and rays make this an ideal piece of furniture. It is designed to break down and make 2 separate tables.

The cool, damp weather drove me into the workshop today so I decided to do some wood turning. Here are two 8-window ornaments. The larger one is made of cherry with a maple burl finial. The smaller one is spalted silver maple with a black walnut finial.

Finally, it's finished. A bit of fine tuning is needed to fit the machines, tools, bikes, etc. inside before I am totally ready for winter. The temporary ( for 9 years) tent garage can finally be retired.

Progress is being made on the shed. Soffit and facia are installed. Some trim and painting to do. Still waiting for the garage door.

The framing and sheathing is complete. Tomorrow, I start to dry it in. The goal is to replace the old tent garage with something a bit bigger and much more substantial.
For all of my followers who think that I just do wood turning and some furniture making, I have been known to do construction work. This is the first structure I have built that required a permit. Different set of tools, but same approach.
