✨Big Things✨
Love my lils, but lately I’m thinking bigger!

Unedited clip of me finishing closing the seam. This piece used to be two big bowls that I put together to make a large vessel. It will rest in damp plastic for almost a day before its pulled it out again to add:
… more shape, a foot, perhaps a neck, maybe a rounder belly, perchance some carved texture.

These large creations come to me as I go, usually with a few vague ideas via direction; the clay has attitude and will often help make decisions. It’s odd but I enjoy it this way.

✨Greenware✨

I dry my greenware for awhhhile ⏰

Moisture is bad for the kiln so ideally the peices you put in should be bone dry.

Understandably you gotta push the limits sometimes…
David Drown taught me that if you’re firing with extra moisture in the kiln it’s better to vent your kiln (lid a bit open) for an hour or so as it’s getting up to boiling water temp to allow that steam to escape and not hurt your elements!

WHO: bring your loves, coworkers, best friends, family, new/old friends, buddies, etc.

WHAT: workshops are ONE DAY classes (see below) where you are guided through a handful of HAND-BUILDING techniques (not on the wheel).
We play with clay and learn decorating techniques that will result in making your very own piece to be proud of for years!

You’ll be able to choose one colourful glaze (custom made by David Drown) and your piece will be fired and glazed for you. Pieces will be available roughly 4-6 weeks after and delivery or pickup will be arranged.

WHEN: morning and evening workshops with differing themes and times (see below).

Kitchen things! Create a vessel and lid as well as a custom spoon for: sugar bowl, honey holder, jam jar, salt well, potions etc.

🥣DIP BOWL Workshop:

Fri 28th… 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm
Create a vessel for chips and a smaller vessel for dips! A platter and dish or little bowl in a bigger!

☕️ TEACUP&SAUCER Workshop:
Mon 10th… 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm
Sun 16th… 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm
Build a sweet intentional teacup and saucer set! Slow down your mornings and class up your afternoons with a special cup and saucer. Decorate w your favourite saying or joyful pattern!

Always a fan of a lil dish.

Ramekins are ideal: little snacks, catch-all, the best charcuterie buddy.

At home they hold my chalk, dog treats, jams, candy, jewelry, flower, sponges, soaps, candles, salt n’ spices, ketchup, …that tiny thing you can’t lose because it goes with something that needs to be fixed. 💫
