About Wild Petals Boutique!

Wild Petals Boutique is based in Okotoks, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in April 2019 by myself, Sarah Woehleke.

While I was on maternity leave I was no where near ready to go back to my career as a dental hygienist. So, I was searching for something I could do while staying home with my son. I not only wanted something that could potentially provide our family with additional income but it was very important to me to truly enjoy what I was doing as well. As if those requirements weren’t enough, it had to be something I could do in my “spare time”- when baby was sleeping.

I had been tapping into my crafty side because I’ve always enjoyed making pretty things and paying attention to the small details. I tried sewing, painting, home renos, crocheting, and knitting. While I was searching Pinterest (good ol’ Pinterest) for inspiration for those hobbies I came across a picture of botanical jewelry. I instantly fell in love. I couldn’t stop searching for more, brainstorming my own, and looking for flowers to pick. I had found the passion I was searching for.

I wasted no time creating and experimenting with florals and resin.
