Dear Parents and Artists,
I am so sorry to share that I will no longer be able to run Art with Alex classes. Our family has entered an extremely busy stage of life—with both kids playing rep sports and my husband and I involved with coaching—so I simply no longer have the time and energy to create and deliver the lessons I have loved sharing with you over the past few years.
I want you all to know how proud I am of each and every one of you. Watching your creativity, imagination, and confidence grow has been one of the greatest joys for me. Please continue to make art wherever and whenever you can—draw, paint, build, or doodle! Art isn’t just about what you make, it’s about how you see the world. Keep exploring, stay curious, and never stop creating. The world needs your ideas and your colour.
If you’re looking for art lessons moving forward, I can personally and highly recommend The Drawing House in Barrie — their classes are fantastic, and their instructors are wonderful with young artists.
There are also a few other local options you may wish to explore (though I don’t have personal experience with these programs):
