The worn hymnal like the one he used from the little Bay Church (this is his Mother’s hymnal in the portrait) and his beloved old Yamaha guitar stir emotions in my heart too deep for words. To many they may seem like ordinary possessions, but to us they are priceless treasures, carrying memories of evenings filled with his voice, his faith, and the gentle music that became the soothing lullabies that rocked us to sleep at night.
The little robin resting in the window is a loving tribute to our dear Mom, who delighted in robins and loved all of God's little creatures. It reminds us that their love and presence still linger in our hearts.
The plaque on the wall speaks of Dad's God-given gift for music and the humble heart with which he used it to bless others. His songs were never merely melodies; they were expressions of faith, comfort, and love.
The wildflowers represent Northwestern Ontario-where he grew up as a young boy with his Mom and Dad and his brothers and sisters. They also remind us of the many times he gathered those beautiful flowers for Mom, “just because” a small act of devotion that spoke volumes of his love for her.
The empty chair tells the story words cannot fully express. It signifies that Dad has gone Home to Glory, reunited with the his love, our precious Mom, and received the reward prepared for him by his Savior.
We miss you beyond measure, Dad. Yet we are so very grateful for the love, faith, music, and memories you left behind. We love you always.
Happy Father’s Day.💞
I had my dear sister Janice Fehr create the photo, including the picture of dad in the frame, look through the photo you will find what she is referring to, in the beautiful note of honour she wrote about our dear dad; it reflects him and our hearts beautifully ♥️🤗♥️ thank you sister❣️❣️❣️
