Audiences agree that Rikki Wright's Impatient Inpatient - Hamilton Fringe 2025 show at Staircase Cafe Theatre is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. This 2025 Hamilton Fringe show combines sadness, laughter, frustration and indignation... with just a sprinkling of mathematics and philosophy. The show points fingers at a crumbling healthcare system whilst maintaining a message for everyone that extends its reach beyond the stage.

Today is the day. Impatient Inpatient premieres at the 2025 Hamilton Fringe Festival in a few short hours at 8:55pm. Will you be able to say you were there when it all began? When they make a movie about this opening night, who will play you? You are sitting in the front row laughing, crying, hungry because you forgot to eat beforehand and desperate for a wee because you were running late? Will it be Matt Le Blanc? Cameron Diaz? With only one more sleep to go, I realised that some things you witness in a hospital are more traumatic than the thing that put you there in the first place. If you want to know about mental scars as well as physical ones, come and check out Impatient Inpatient. Don't worry, though this was a traumatic event for me, you're going to find it hilarious... but if you see me before opening night, I'm okay if you don't say "break a leg".

The show runs from July 17 to July 27 at the 2025 Hamilton Fringe Festival. Performances are held on the Elaine May Stage at The Staircase Cafe Theatre. Come early and grab a drink... heck grab a few, it may make the show funnier.

Though my face may look perturbed, the shirt (courtesy of friends Brian and Reese) clearly says "I'm OK" - and we all know, like anything you read on the internet, a t-shirt can't be wrong.

Three months in hospital. One busted body. Zero patience.

It's been a long year from the accident that put me in hospital to now where I'm still struggling to get around comfortably and focus on stringing coherent thoughts together.

I'm writing a book documenting the craziness of the hospital stay. Some of the crazier stories have been turned into a one-man storytelling show. Are you a nosy Nelly curious as to what went down and as to the real state of our healthcare system?
