I can finally share a project that I was truly honoured to be a part of. I had the opportunity to create beaded pieces representing HPV and Cancer Awareness, using Indigenous beadwork as a way to bring awareness, education, and conversation to an important health topic. This project was especially meaningful to me because it allowed me to bring together my love of beadwork and storytelling with a message that can impact so many people and communities. Niawen Public Health, DAHC & Six Nations Department of Well-being for trusting me and giving me this opportunity! These pieces will be showcased at De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre and Six Nations Department of Well-Being October 1-7 is HPV Prevention Week, I was able to be apart of the Sharing Circle hosted by Hamilton Public Health and be the "Meet the Artist". It was so fun to meet everyone!
