I'm sorry this is a little late! We have been busy tallying the total for Day of Redemption 3.

I am so pleased to tell you that DOR and online and private donations have our total sitting at $9300 to donate to Sick Kids hospital and Brain tumor research, with more coming in everyday online.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

My name is Brady Hill and I have been playing paintball for 4 years.

7 years ago i was rushed into emergency Brain Surgery when the Doctor's discovered a tumor on the speech part of my brain. This came out of nowhere and i was given a 50/50 chance of survival. With the help of all the Doctors, nurses, specialists and all the staff at the Hospital for Sick children in Toronto I made a full recovery. Unfortunately 2 months later 2 weeks before Christmas we discovered that the tumor had come back. 2 weeks before my 10th Birthday it was removed, again i pulled through and made a complete recovery.

At the age of 14, i developed seizures as a result of the surgeries and scarring tissue. I was diagnosed with Epilepsy.

In January 2015 I had my 3rd brain surgery to try to remove the clusters of seizure activity. This worked great until August when i suffered a major seizure.

Just recently (April 25 which also happened to be my 17th Birthday) I went in for surgery #4. I underwent a procedure to try to map the seizure activity and ultimately remove the remaining clusters, Unfortunately this did not end in the result i would have liked. The clusters were too close to my speech and if they had gone ahead with the surgery, it would have left me without the ability to speak or understand somebody speaking to me and quite possibly without the use of my left arm and leg. My Doctors decided the risk was not worth the reward so the following Thursday I went in for surgery 5 to remove the grid which they used to map the seizures. I am no longer considered a candidate for seizure surgeries. Now we are back to figuring out next steps.

I am not giving you this back story so you will feel sorry for me, I NEVER want that. This is only to share with you the amazing things Sick Kids Hospital and Brain Tumor research does.

I may have Epilepsy....it NEVER has me!!! I have had many seizures either at the field or on the way to paintball and i never let it get in the way of what i want to do. I am the same as every other 17 year old.

We are holding our 3rd annual Day of Redemption charity game, August 14 at Flagraiders Paintball Field in Kitchener ON. Last year we raised over $6000, the year before $2100 and online we have raised over $20,0000.

This game is in Support of Sick Kids Hospital and Brain Tumor research. This is my way of thanking everyone at Sick Kids for all they have done for me and i', hoping it will allow them to discover other ways of helping other kids.

I'm writing to you in hopes that you would help us with a prize donation for the players that come out and support our game. To thank you we will include your logo on all our advertisements and publications as well as our page. We will also be making vendor spots available at no charge at the game.
