Hello everyone! We hope you have all had an amazing last week of Summer!
As our search for a production team starts, we wanted to give everyone an idea of our club's vision and goals. Mactivist's ultimate goal is to highlight the voices that are often ignored in the world of theatre. We are focusing on dismantling discriminatory norms through creation and strive to highlight the process rather than the product.
To be more specific, rather than having a perfectly polished 'production' at the end of our time together, we hope to host a showcase that will celebrate our progess as artists and activists. The length, style, and mediums of creation involved (i.e., music, dance, acting, visual arts, poetry) are free to change shape as we grow.
The job of prod is to take these ideas and facilitate them into a piece we can all be proud of!
